When the camp was liquidated there were 430,000 pairs of victims‘ shoes stored here.
Some 18,000 Jewish prisoners were shot in these ditches, their bodies then stacked in the ditches and burned. Polish partisans and resistance fighters in the Lublin area were also shot here.
